Hi Guys,
Sorry this in English. Please feel free to respond in Danish.
I am not sure if this is in the correct place in the forum. I have been following a nice guide to remove the IR block filter on my Canon 500D (Ti1). Everything went smooth, until I cracked the low pass filter. I am hoping someone here has experience with this. I will link to the guide, specifically to the step where the low pass filter is shown (step 28):

I was not going for the Full Spectrum Mod, only removal of the IR block. In addition, I did not plan to install Baader UV-IR-Cut filter, just remove the IR. However, now that I have to order new glass, I will try to order the UV-IR-Cut filter.
I am stuck now with an open camera and unsure how to proceed. In the guide he refers to the full spectrum mod where the low pass filter is removed. My hope is I can go ahead and make the full mod, therefore salvaging this project.
I found this glass: http://www.astronomik.com/en/photographic-filters/mc-glass-for-dslr-astromodification/astronomik-mc-klarglas-for-canon-eos-450d-500d-550d-600d-1000d.html
Can I just order this and install it? What about the electrical connection on the cracked low pass filter glass, can that just be left out?
Is this camera just trash now?
Thanks in advance for any assistance on this.
Edit: added photo of the low pass filter.
Regards,
Rick
